Conferences
Over the years, national and international conferences were organized for technology transfer.
A major conference series, the International Conference on Hydroscience and Engineering, was founded by NCCHE with co-founders from The Institute of Hydroinformatics at Bradenburg University of Technology, Germany and Civil Engineering Department at Chuo University, Japan.
It has been developed into a major forum for professionals in the field of Hydroscience and Engineering worldwide and has been sponsored and supported by many professional societies as well as governmental agencies since 1993. The sponsors include ASCE, IAHR (International), AGU, CSCE (Canada), JSCE (Japan), CHES (China), IEA (Australia), DVWK (Germany), IAHS, IWRA, ISH (France), SAME, KWRA (Korea), UNESCO, UNDP, IRTCES, USEPA, USDA-ARS, USCOE, FERC, TVA, USGS, GRF (German Research Foundation), etc.
The ICHE series has been attended by active researchers, engineers, and management officials representing more than 50 countries. The conference proceedings, entitled "Advances in Hydrosciences and Engineering" have been distributed to many more countries worldwide. Therefore, the international conference organized by NCCHE has been one of the most effective means of Technology Transfer.
The 10th International Conference on Hydroscience and Engineering (ICHE 2012) is organized by the Department of Civil, Environmental and Construction Engineering of the University of Central Florida.
The overall conference theme is "The water cycle: Hydro-Science and Engineering under a changing climate."
